Our mattress cleaning method
1. Inspect & advise
We check the mattress type, fabric and any stains, then tell you honestly what we expect to achieve before we start.
2. Treat & extract
We pre-treat the surface, then deep-clean with hot-water extraction — drawing out sweat, dust, dust mites and allergens.
3. Optional Scotchgard
Add a Scotchgard protector to help the surface resist future spills and staining — £10 if you'd like it.
Drying time: hot-water extraction uses moisture, so a freshly cleaned mattress will be damp to the touch afterwards. We use strong extraction to leave it as dry as possible, but we recommend cleaning earlier in the day and allowing several hours — with good ventilation — before you make the bed. It's a good idea to plan the clean for a day you won't need to sleep on it straight away.

Whether a mark lifts depends entirely on the material and the type of stain — some come out completely, others have soaked too deep into the padding to shift, no matter how we treat them. How long does a mattress take to dry?
Hot-water extraction uses moisture, so the mattress will be damp afterwards. We extract as much as possible, but we recommend cleaning earlier in the day and allowing several hours with good ventilation before making the bed — ideally on a day you won't need to sleep on it straight away.
